Day 12: The Rain in Prague Never Ends

Sorry folks, this is mainly a picture dump post because I fell asleep last night before writing and have little time this morning. Yesterday: we went out in search of a bakery, found one, had breakfast, bought souvenirs, then wandered into a historic bazaar with all kinds of cool stuff. And fruit.

Then, we walked to the castle and found some trdelniks, which are delicious baked bread things with cinnamon. Took some pictures on the way.

Found some views, found the castle and St. Vitus' cathedral. Walked around for a bit and took more pictures, bought some coffee, and then it started raining and didn't stop all night. Of course, we didn't bring umbrellas yesterday so that's when it rains.

There were some firefighters and little kids "training" in this pool and around this area. We watched for a little bit then ran through Petrin hill because it was raining. I sampled some mystery cherries growing on a tree and an unripe plum and when we got to the bridge, it started pouring so we ducked into a cafe and played cards for a couple of hours.

Finally, we walked back and took a picture on the bridge, where it was oddly abandoned. Wonder why.
The rain picked up again and it was like a second shower--I was completely soaked. Then we went back to the house and played cards with the last people who came into our suite, who turn out to be some friendly guys from Mexico.

Today: the clock, maybe the Jewish quarter, and I'm sending out postcards!

Until later,
Maria
